Greetings, Adventurous Souls!

Prepare for an enthralling experience at the 2023 Legends of the Craft Symposium, proudly hosted by Allied Lodge No. 1170 and Jose Marti Council No. 512 AMD.

This year, we delve into the captivating world of Freemasonry & Africa. Embark with us on an unforgettable journey, starting May 6th, as we traverse the mesmerizing landscapes of the Mother Continent, unravel its diverse cultures, meet fascinating people, and uncover the rich history of Freemasonry across Africa.

Africa, the cradle of life, is the land of enchantment and intrigue and is blessed with breathtaking natural beauty, abundant resources, and diverse cultures. Many of these African cultures share the rich tradition of rhetoric, song, dance, and storytelling as a primary means of learning and sharing specialized knowledge and forming the minds of its people with knowledge of education and cultural exchange. The complex nature of Freemasonry, with its emphasis on the oral transmission of esoteric knowledge through symbols and legends, finds a natural home in Africa.

The Experience –

During this event, we will explore the fascinating stories of Masonry in Africa as narrated by various Masons of African descent. We have handpicked a select group of brethren to share their unique experiences, valuable lessons, and profound philosophies gained through their Masonic journey. After, participants of the live event are welcome to join us as we experience a specially curated cultural event highlighting the cultures of Ghana.

Together both events are designed to fill you with a great starting point in discovering the true magic and beauty of Africa and the Craft of Freemasonry.
